Discover the real you: Gentlemen

Gentlemen - Congratulations for reading this far!

Mention Performance or Executive coaching on the sports field or in the workplace and most men jump at the opportunity to demonstrate or improve their excellence or athleticism.

So why do so many of you still think that employing someone to help you through a difficult time, be it personally, professionally or financially, is a girl thing?

Is it only girls who have problems communicating with their loved ones, friends or work colleagues? Or who suffer ‘exclusively’ from lack of confidence due to divorce, relationship breakdown or bereavement? Is it only girls who feel they are stuck in a rut or generally at a crossroads in their life?

And what about your finances? Who controls the financial well-being in many families - managing the saver/spender quandary? A set of golf clubs or brand new, gleaming, dream machine versus a family holiday or saving for that rainy day?

Have you ever considered the impact your attitude towards money and wealth may have on your daily business decisions not to mention your bank and credit card balances?

And then there’s work - targets, budgets, margins. The list is endless. So what has changed?

Today’s Society

It’s a well known fact that in today’s society people are becoming more and more stressed because of the demands made upon them. Attaining a good work - life balance is becoming increasingly difficult. The pace of life is getting faster and faster due to technological advancements and even commuting has now become a highly stressful experience.

Add to this soaring divorce rates and failing relationships, often making the family unit ever more complex – ex-wives, ex-partners, ex-in-laws, stepchildren – and we begin to see why so many of us turn to experts to help us redress our daily lives.

Is change really possible?

Only you can answer that.

If you are totally satisfied with your lot: where you are now and who you are there with or you are perfectly satisfied with your achievements to date and what the future has in store for you, then what is there to change?

However, if you feel everything is great, but what now? Where now? Or you are doing great but know you can do better. Perhaps you feel you have lost your way a little and could do with getting back on track or possibly even finding a new track? Or you are feeling uncertain of what next or where next. Do you find yourself constantly juggling life due to the demands of being a single-parent family, as well as contending with your work commitments and finding time for your friends? If this sounds like you, then change really IS possible, but only if you really want it and only if you are really committed to making it happen.

With some external guidance using tried and tested techniques you CAN go that extra mile, you CAN focus on where you want to be and how you can get there and you CAN restore that balance in your life.

And, research has shown, that some men equally welcome someone to talk to - a confidante outside of their normal circle - whom they can trust, without them being too close, too emotionally involved, reporting back to the boss, or most importantly, being overly judgmental. Someone who can help them understand the real them.

Next Step

You can continue thinking about making changes or you can keep meaning to get round to it or you can keep making excuses why you can’t do something about it or alternatively you CAN choose to decide that now is the time to discover The Real You. You will be amazed with the results and you will be amazed at how much fun you will have doing it.
