Discover the real you: Ladies Lunches

Welcome to one of the most exciting pages of my website! Exciting - because this is one of the pages which tells you about some of the most inviting, informative but most importantly, fun, events we have in store for you (see our events)!

Background

I started my business in 2005 and launched the Ladies Lunch Club shortly thereafter in May of that year. To celebrate our launch, Richard Whiteley of ‘Countdown’ fame very kindly volunteered his time and input to give an impartial commentary on the heady combination of wine, women and Men/Mars and Women/Venus related subjects masquerading as a Ladies Coaching day.

Sadly he was taken ill days before the lunch (and died shortly thereafter), and despite our disappointment and sorrow at not being entertained by the larger than life character, the lunch went ahead and a good time was had by all.

Three years on and the Lunches are going from strength to strength (see Our Events page for further details, dates and venues of our Spanish version and our events), with more and more new faces joining us on a regular basis. We are occasionally joined by guest speakers such as an Image Consultant, a Nutritionist, a Colour Analysis Consultant or a Permanent Make-up Technician (see www.permanentlybeautiful.co.uk ), to name but a few.

I am frequently asked what my secret is. Well, there is no secret - just a great venue, terrific atmosphere, wonderful company and a host of lively subjects and interactive exercises which give the lunches a sense of “Indulgence with a Purpose”. The “purpose” element is for those of you who feel guilty taking time out for some much needed “Me Time”. But, just in case you think I’m biased, here’s what some of my Ladies have to say:-

 The ladies lunches are a great get-away-from-it-all. Escape the husband/kids and dog for the day/evening event where you get the chance to mix and chat with like-minded individuals and discover a few things about yourself and others.  They provide the perfect mix of social interaction and self-development and insight in a fun, open environment.

  I moved back to Leeds after being in Australia for 20 years.
I needed to find some way of networking and getting involved in a circle of like minded women.
I was invited to attend Marie Tkaczyk's lunches at the Hotel du Vin in Harrogate. I was not disappointed.
The mix and variety of women attending in terms of age and professions was fantastic. Marie Tkaczyk's presentations were informative and motivating.
I have made several new friends, great contacts and thanks to Marie Tkaczyk I am facing my new challenges in Leeds with great confidence.

 I enjoy spending time with new people. I like the fact it is all girls. Everyone is open and honest at the lunches, which encourages you to be in a way I sometimes don't feel like being with my friends. It's probably because we don't get together too often. I like the mix of ages and professions.
I like the fact we are serious but also unashamedly do girly stuff like what clothes suit your shape. They say a good hairdresser saves you needing a shrink 'cos you talk to them, I believe the lunches are the same.

 I attended my first ladies lunch approximately 3 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from the very start...I recommend the lunches to all my friends as I have always found them entertaining, informative, empowering and a great opportunity to meet nice people in a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere!

After sorting the logistics of child supervision, it’s nice to go to a hotel and all be looked after including you!
The content is interesting and fun.  We are encouraged to readdress the way we think about ourselves and the way we deal with certain situations, basically altering our behaviour patterns.  Your delivery and the methods you use are informative, positive and enlightening.  I have also enjoyed the colour expert etc. They add a different dimension to the lunches and girls always like that sort of thing.  It’s good to be with old friends and to get to know new ones.
We can all get a little rowdy after a few drinks yet you manage to keep us in line and focused!

Unfortunately we are unable to accept payment on application due to the limited number of places per event.
